Guinevere
The May Queen
Guinevere is probably the most well known of the Ladies of the Lake, and as such we may have a lot of dismantling of the stories we have heard of her. I have read many books, many different storylines of Camelot and they all portray Guinevere, but not one I feel has a really deep sense of who she originally was and who she really is underneath the modern narratives we are familiar with.
Sometimes the goddesses we think we know are the ones we need to consciously wipe the mind and heart clean as we come into renewed and living truth territory with them.
One thing I will say is that we find Guinevere in almost every story of Camelot because She is a foundation cornerstone of Avalon’s heart. We do not have Camelot without Guinevere.
The Queen of Hearts
I often call her the Queen of Hearts, and truly, if Camelot is a kingdom of Love, Guinevere, as it’s Queen, opens our hearts and activates them to be able to withstand the shining power of that generative Love.
Please take note of her image below. You can see she has the golden disk/solar halo glowing at her head, she has the Earth and the castle at her throat and High Heart. She is in the Order of the Blue Rose. She speaks with Love. She mates with both the bright ( Arthur) and the dark ( Lancelot) masculine. Guinevere can teach you true Queenship. Not the modern boss-babe version of it, but the ancient marriage of the Land and the Word that is the realm of the Queen.
Before you listen, please empty yourself of all preconceived notions of who you think she is. Invite her in with deep respect and allow her devotion to Camelot to illuminate your Dragon Path.
